My mom would always remind me to never go "빈 손" (bene-sohn), meaning empty-handed, when I was invited to someone's house. I believe that it is a beautiful aspect of our culture where we show our love and respect through gifts. The classic go-to gift would be a box of Korean pears "배", but we're trying to impress the in-laws. Here are some alternative choices that could leave a good impression!

1 ) GINSENG EXTRACT STICK ($127.79)
I will say that this is a safe gift to give because who doesn't like anything that has health benefits? Its size is convenient to carry around and it's already packaged nicely for you. This is a trusted Korean brand, so I'm sure your future in-laws will love it!
2 ) SKIN & LOTION SET
Koreans love their skincare. Lots of brands have gift sets available. I would personally pick and choose my favorite products and create my own gift set. Then I can explain the different products and make a conversation out of it. It might be helpful to know what type of skincare your future in-laws may be using. Hopefully your significant other can find that out for you! Here are some products that I would recommend!
IOPE Super Vital Skin Care Set ($125.00)
Here's what I would put in my DIY gift set.
D'ALBA Italian White Truffle First Spray Serum ($18.00)
ANUA Heartleaf 77 Soothing Toner ($19.69)
ONGREDIENTS Centella Asiatica Skin Barrier Calming Lotion ($25.00)
SKINFOOD Carrot Carotene Calming Water Pad ($22.00)
Check out my gift box blog to see where I would package my DIY gift set products.
3 ) MEAT GIFT SET ($80.00~$250.00)
This is an actual thing that we gift in Korean culture. Places like HMart or your nearest Korean butcher shop will have meat gift sets prepared for you with the best cuts. It's like you are treating them out for a fancy dinner!
4 ) ALCOHOL & DECANTER
First, it would be best to find out if your future in-laws drink and see what kind of drinks they like. However, I would err more towards wine and whiskey tos stay somewhat formal.
With your drink of choice, I would choose one of the decanters below.
LE CHATEAU Large Elegant Red Wine Decanter ($53.99)
BORMIOLI ROCCO LOTO Wine Decanter ($23.00)
KANARS Whiskey Decanter and Glasses Set 5-Piece ($65.99)
COMFOME Whiskey Decanter ($29.99)
4 ) TEA GIFT SETS
Koreans love to drink tea after a meal. There are many tea gift sets out there with beautiful packaging. If you can't tell already, I am a sucker for packaging.
OSULLOC Premium Tea Collection Gift Set & Honey Pear Tea
KKOKDAM Tea gift set ($31.49)
5 ) DRINKWARE
Many older generation adults love to collect and display special drinkware or dinnerware. There are beautiful new gift sets that would complement one's current collection.
ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS Coffee 2-mugs ($34.95)
KOYTHIN Ceramic Coffee Mug w/ Saucer ($18.98)
6 ) THERAGUN Mini Massage Gun ($149.00)
This is for the future-in-laws who love tech and massages. This mini Theragun is easy to use and has a great grip.
7 ) HOME-BAKED GOODS or DESSERT GIFT SET
Bringing home-baked goods and packaging them nicely will leave a lasting impression hopefully on their taste buds. Note that Koreans love desserts that are not too sweet.
